Where do I find information about county Zoning?

Stewart County has no codes and regulations, no zoning or permitting, and does not issue letters of occupancy for County properties. However, if the property lies within the city limits of Dover or Cumberland City, you would need to contact those municipalities directly. Please keep in mind that you have to follow any Deed restrictions and HOA (Home Owners Association) guidelines should those apply.

Where do I find information on Septic Systems?

How can I get an electrical permit?

Please contact CEMC for Electrical Permit information.

How do I acquire a burn permit?

Burn Permits are required from Oct 15 through May 15, and can be obtained free of charge at www.BurnSafeTN.org or by calling 877-350-BURN (2876).

Where do I find the Driver’s License Kiosk?

The Driver’s License Kiosk is located at the Visitor Center. This kiosk can be used to renew various licenses as well as update information. For more information on the kiosk and what it can do for you please contact the Stewart County Clerk’s Office at 931-232-7616.
